Charlie Villas is one of Sydney’s favourite party starters and in-demand DJs. A vibe maker and dance floor legend; a master of combining styles in unexpected ways. Think disco, Prince, Paradise Garage, Glitterbox with New York 80s boogie, all mixed with global heat and memories from the best house party you’ve ever been to. Born in the Philippines, now residing in Darug and Gundungurra country / the Blue Mountains, Charlie is a staple at all the best parties. Internationally, she has played sets at The Glory in London, at Paris’ favourite late-night venue Le Comptoir Général, in Tokyo in the city’s legendary women’s only bar Goldfinger and in Bali at the internationally renowned beachfront venue, Karma Beach Club. At home in Australia she can regularly be seen behind the decks at Heaps Gay, Honcho Disko and Loose Ends. In 2022, she appeared at Summer Camp Festival in Sydney, Australia’s first touring Pride festival, where she played on the mainstage alongside Years & Years, Big Freedia, Ladyhawke, Sophie Ellis Bextor, The Veronicas, Cubsport and more.

Charlie Villas’ deep knowledge and love of music from all around the world has seen her work as a music consultant for film and television working at Universal Music Publishing and for retail and hospitality giants at SBA Music, and curating soundtracks for luxury brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co as well as Adidas, Aesop, Glenfiddich, Google, Johnnie Walker, Screen Australia and Uniqlo.

Charlie is also an event producer and co- head chef of Club Sandwich, which she curates alongside Melbourne DJ HipHopHoe, Club Sandwich is a queer strip club / performance space celebrating the creative power and resilience of the QTIPOC community.

Charlie has brought her versatility and infectious energy behind the decks to major events like Darwin Festival, Mardi Gras Official After Party, Splendour In The Grass, Summer Camp Festival, Sydney Mardi Gras Parade, Sydney Festival and Vivid Sydney and earlier in 2023 played an epic 20 events during the mammoth
Sydney World Pride.
