MzRizk is a pioneering Lebanese Australian DJ, radio presenter, live performer/percussionist, event curator, and winner of Music Victoria’s inaugural Best DJ award (2022).  MzRizk is a self taught, community emboldened, creative chameleon that was raised on a seemingly incongruous yet wholly satisfying sonic diet of Arabic, boogie, jazz, heavy metal, house, techno, hip-hop, disco, and everything in between.

Renowned for her ongoing contributions to Melbourne’s rich cultural and music landscape as an event curator, radio personality and DJ, MzRizk's many projects are a distinct blend of music knowledge, creative diversity and cultural and community engagement.

As one of Melbourne’s busiest DJs, MzRizk has supported MF Doom (RIP), Fatboy Slim, Common, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Badbadnotgood, The Internet, Moses Sumney, John Morales, Common, Public Enemy, Sampa The Great, Jill Scott, Maxwell, Evelyn Champagne King, Snarky Puppy, Habibi Funk, Nabihah Iqbal, and Osunlade.

MzRizk has performed twice at Glastonbury Festival (UK), twice at Laneway Festival, as well as the International Soul Summit (USA), AWME, Soundwave (Croatia), Golden Plains, Groovin the Moo, Melbourne International Film Festival, Perth Fringe Festival, Darwin Festival, Strawberry Fields, Splendour in the Grass, Piknic Électronik, and A Festival Called PANAMA.

In 2023 MzRizk performed at WOMADelaide and 24 Festival with Tarabeat x MzRizk, a live performance collaboration that merges the worlds of classic and contemporary Arabic music, which they then took to perform live in Beirut, Lebanon later that year.

MzRizk works tirelessly to bring together Melbourne’s music-loving communities through DJ slots, workshops, venue residencies, festivals, artist support and one-off special events. Her weekly show on PBS FM, Boogie Beat Suite, consistently showcases the best local and international jazz, funk, soul, hip hop and global sounds.

MzRizk always delivers the hip hop, jazz, soul, funk, disco and global music goodness, she continues to play a pivotal role in connecting music-loving folks across Australia and abroad.
